CReME™Filter and Sort

Introduction

When dealing with large amounts of data, it is helpful to filter and sort the information. This document explains how this can be performed in CReME™. There are five types of these functions available in CReME™:

Search Box

The Search Box allows the user to search at the beginning, middle or end of all text in a particular column. For example, to find "Paradigm Odyssey", one can search for text beginning with "Para" or text with the middle containing "digm" or ending with "ssey".

This button enables the user to search for text beginning with a string of characters.
This button enables the user to search for text containing a string of characters that could be at the beginning, in the middle or at the end of the entire text.
This button enables the user to search for text ending with a string of characters.
Select List

The Select List picks out unique values within a particular column.

This button enables the user to choose from a list of values.
Comparators

There are two types of comparators: greater than and less than

Greater than enables the user to filter the column values that exceed a certain number
Less than enables the user to filter the column values that are below a certain number
Sort

Sorting can be done either ascending (lowest to highest) or descending (highest to lowest.)

Sort ascending arranges numbers in a column from smallest to largest values
Sort descending arranges numbers in a column from largest to smallest
Cancel

The cancel button is used when the user would like to revert to the original set of data.

Clicking on cancel removes the effects of any of the previous buttons and restores the data to the original condition.
